Instructional Video

For my video, I am going to create a technique video of what to do in a close wrestling match in the last few seconds. It is most important of knowing what to do in the situation because it means winning or losing. This is what will happen in my video:

First I will use a friend at my opponent and explain the situation. It is important that we are in wrestling attire to get the crowds attention.

Then I will place him in the move, moving slowly and explaining as I go.

Once I complete the move slowly, I will repeat the move quickly, showing full speed.

I will then once more go over the cues of the move.

This video will be important to those who see it and will feel confident once watching it.

IMovie

I am a little late on my post because I was at my grandpa's cabin doing some work for him because he hurt his back. I am here now and would like to discuss the IMovie program. At first, it was a little difficult to figure out, but after going over it in class, and after finding all of the gadgets, it made my life easier. I have really been messing around with the music you can add during your videos. You can add several movie clips to the music you like. This will be great in making inspirational video in our educational settings.

Protect Yourself!

The internet is not what it used to be. Although it is full of endless, valuable information, it has also been polluted with trash and traps that people lay out intending to steal your personal information. With websites like Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, and Blogger, we put our information out there for everyone to see. With networking websites such as these, it is important to protect ourselves. The most important thing is what we post on these sites! Have I posted too much personal information to everyone? Have I posted pictures or blog posts that might seem inappropriate to a boss or our friends and family? These are questions we must ask ourselves, and if we answer yes, we need to fix the problem. I sat down with my wife to discuss the information we have posted on our websites. We went over the safety issues that we've discussed in class and followed the procedures necessary to keep us safe. I told her about the https at the beginning of web addresses and how it means the site is secure. After discussing this information with my wife, it made me realize that everyone should make sure this information is discussed as a family. Another website that I am familiar with is annualcreditreport.com. This website allows you to check your credit report for free from three different credit bureaus each year. So if you check one bureau each time, you can space it out every 4 months to make sure everything looks correct. You wont be able to see your credit score, but you will see your report. It is important to check this often to make sure your identity is protected and secure. If we remember to use common sense when using the internet, we will have nothing to worry about. Always remember to be on a secure websites when typing in personal information and never give information to those who you don't know! We don't want someone stealing our identity and ruining our lives.

Building the Website

We were asked to build a website and make it as if we were teachers or coaches. I have recently been given the job as the American Fork Junior High Wrestling coach, so I saw this as an opportunity to make a site for the team and their parents. It is amazing what we can do with technology these days. I will be able to reach out easier to the team and keep everyone on the same page. I used Google Maps to show the location of practices, and Youtube to show technique videos that might help the wrestlers. I have also posted a feedback section where we can hear from the parents and the wrestlers on their opinions of the program. By using Survey Monkey I was able to create a survey that everyone can take to let us know where to improve. This will be a great tool in coaching the team.
